A building known as KHOJA SANITORIUM is a typical example of sea front old Sanitorium building constructed in the year 1886. As per the encrypted text this building was constructed in the year 1886. As per the encrypted text this building was constructed by one Mr.Zairabhoy Peerbhoy and was donated to the service of Khoja community. The building was inaugurated on 1st August 1886 by the then Governor of Bombay H.E.Lord Reay. The building consists of 10 rooms of size 16'-0" x 36'-0" size connected by stone arched porch of size 23'-0" x 213'-0". The entire building consists of Porbander stone arches, Black Basalt masonry and decorative courses of Malad stone in between. ...more |
